Four days of intensive yet peaceful self-awareness work, three and a half of which will take place in complete silence, without words. We give ourselves time and space by completely excluding the troubles of our everyday lives and being surrounded by nature and silence. The lack of speaking will result in a gradually growing inner noise which will then give room to an inner silence that effectively supports the process of taming our rambling attention, troubling thoughts and emotions.
This retreat is a real challenge. It is a physical, emotional and mental plummet. The sustained span of silent experiencing slowly leads to our usual roles losing their meanings and dissolving. Our mechanical, routine activities disappear and this opens the possibility of meeting our real selves. Participants can support each other in this process through presence, attention, and tiny little actions.
In these four days, as we gently stretch our comfort zones, we create situations that will later have a bearing on our everyday lives. These exercises help us be consciously present in unpleasant situations that unfold within or beyond us, and allow us to maintain a state of harmony.
As a reminder:
“Contact refers to human relationships. We are, all of us, constantly in contact with one another. This is one of the key elements of our human experience, our humanity. In the course of the WFC trainings we deal with connections on three levels: my relationship to myself, my relationship to another person, and my relationship to the outside world.”
When these three levels are present parallelly and in quality, Weight Flow Contact is no longer simply a kind of movement, self-awareness work, contact and flow, but rather a State of Consciousness. It is a state of consciousness which, if kept alive in our everyday lives, can result in the gradual dissolution of the insular self-perception and the narrow, closed ways of thinking, thus leading to harmony and wholeness that permeate our lives on every level.
